Foundations To A Successful Website Build

Foundations To A Successful Website Build

A website is built and designed to provide information, achieve conversion goals, build trust and act as an online platform that backs a businesses brand, ethos and service. Often, a website will be created to generate leads for a business or to sell products online. This will, of course, depend on the business requirements, goals and what online presence they want to create.

The foundations to achieving any successful website build, regardless of requirements, are:

  • The designer and it’s engine – that’s me. I handle this part for you – that’s why I’m here.
  • Communication and a little bit of time from the client.

The designer and its engine

The majority of my website builds for clients are built using WordPress CMS, a perfect solution for small-medium sized businesses who want a website that looks fantastic, performs as it should and doesn’t break the bank. Lets look at it this way.. WordPress is the engine and foundations of my websites, but the look, feel and layout of the site is 100% customisable. Once created, WP allows users to edit almost any aspect of the website from any device – no downloads, no special CMS, no apps, nothing. And for businesses with a team, user access to only certain areas of the site when and where required is an option.

So, I provide you the foundations, the CMS, my knowledge, experience, design (and more) towards your shiny new website. BUT, in order for a new website to really stand out, every web designer needs a little help from you at the start, the client.

A little bit of your time

Many clients get started on a website project with me, and their first question is ‘so, when will I be able to see the first draft?‘. Rewind! I’ve not even started yet!

It’s impossible to create an excellent website without content, information and a little bit of guidance. That’s where you come in. I need the information from me, and a little bit of your time. I’m not talking about days and days, just a few hours and a little bit of organisation. As much as I would like to be able to know everything about your business from initial enquiry, sadly I don’t! Nobody knows your business better than you. You being prepared and willing to support in the initial consultation process will make a huge difference to your website, trust me.
